Diane Keane

Originally from Turtle Creek, PA, Diane Keane began her career attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, studying Graphic Design.  During the 1980s she began exhibiting assemblage boxes, hand-made paper collage, and cast-paper pieces at various spaces throughout Western Pennsylvania. Keane also worked as a free-lance commercial artist and calligrapher after obtaining a certificate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1982.

In the 1990’s, Keane lived in Germany and continued to pursue art, exhibiting work in Mannheim, Germany, and London, England.  She returned to Pittsburgh in 2000 and spent most of the next decade working on her home and studio. In 2010, she began a “collage-a-day” project and created the blog, Collagitation, to showcase these works.  Keane is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Society of Artists, as well as the Calligraphy Guild of Pittsburgh.

Keane is currently based in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
