Film Screening 'Santa Sangre' | Pittsburgh Art Event

VCG presents Alejandro Jodorowsky’s ‘Santa Sangre’ (1989)

The film follows Fenix, a former circus artist who as a child, witnesses the death of his father Orgo The Knife-Thrower at the hands of his mother, who is being cheated on.  As an adult, Fenix is triggered by seeing his childhood circus friend (a deaf-mute acrobat), and escapes from a mental hospital to rejoin his armless mother–the leader of a strange religious cult–and is forced to enact brutal murders to avenge her name as he becomes “her arms”…

"Sunworn Waller" Select Works by Joseph Noderer | Pittsburgh Art Event

Embark on a mellow summer’s journey through the backwoods of Western PA, as interpreted by the oil paintings of Pittsburgh-born artist Joseph Noderer. “Sunworn Waller,” is the artist’s nostalgic, often hazy revelations of his travels and experiences, set within a warmer pallet of his signature washed out, folksy-expressive brush style.

The holidays are just around the corner and Vestige Concept Gallery loves to celebrate with style, beauty, and ART.  A Very Vestige Christmas exhibition opens on Saturday, November 19th. Artworks in this showcase are contemporary, bold, slick, stylized, and absolutely giftable! Along with fine-art, the gallery also offers artist-made greeting cards, crafts, trinkets, prints and other small one-of-a-kind gifts all season long.
